About TRUST Inno Sense gags
TRUST Inno Sense gags combine a kind, tongue-friendly synthetic mouthpiece with a cheek design that adds lift and poll influence for educated hands. The result is clearer half-halts and better balance for keen horses while keeping a soft, consistent feel.
How gag action works
Gag cheeks route the rein to apply upward lift at the mouth corners and a degree of poll pressure via the headpiece. Used correctly, this helps rebalance the frame without relying on stronger hand pressure—ideal for horses that get long or heavy between fences or in open spaces.
Mouthpieces: Flexi Soft, Medium & Hard; Mullen & Port
Choose Flexi Soft for the warmest, most forgiving feel; Medium for a touch more stability; Hard for the firmest definition while staying smooth. A straight Mullen spreads pressure evenly; a Port provides tongue room for horses that press or show sensitivity.
Rein set-ups & control
Ride with two reins (one on the main ring, one on the gag ring) for fine control, or a single rein on the lower ring when you need a clearer lift. Bit converters are an option but reduce nuance. Always pick the mildest arrangement that delivers consistent responses.
Fit & sizing for gags
Measure width between the inside edges of the rings/cheeks and allow slight clearance at the lips. Ensure the cheek pieces and gag guides run freely and the bit sits quiet in the mouth. Match thickness and flexibility to palate height and tongue volume.
Care & inspection
Rinse after riding, clean gently with mild soap and avoid abrasives or high heat. Check the synthetic surface for tooth marks, confirm any core/attachments are sound, and replace if the mouthpiece shows damage.
