Frequently Asked Questions

What joint and mobility supplements do you stock?

We carry TRM KuraSyn 360x (curcumin and hyaluronic acid) and Global Medics Lacta-Fort. Both target joint comfort and mobility from different ingredient angles. For the broader joint range including TRM Stride HA (a liquid hyaluronic acid joint supplement) and Global Medics P-Block, see equine supplements and performance.

When should I add a joint supplement?

Common reasons to start a joint supplement: a horse beginning harder work, an older horse showing reduced flexibility, a horse returning to work after time off, or as preventive support before joint issues develop. For a clinically diagnosed joint problem, a vet should always be involved alongside any supplement.

What is the difference between glucosamine, MSM and HA?

Glucosamine and chondroitin are traditional joint-support ingredients targeting cartilage maintenance. MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) is a sulphur compound supporting connective tissue. Hyaluronic acid (HA) targets joint lubrication directly - found in TRM KuraSyn 360x and Stride HA. Curcumin (also in KuraSyn 360x) provides anti-inflammatory support. Different products combine different ingredients; tell us your horse and we'll point you at the right combination.

Are mobility supplements competition-legal?

Most are. KuraSyn 360x and Lacta-Fort are formulated with FEI rules in mind. Always check the label and the FEI Clean Sport database for the specific product and your discipline before competing.

Which mobility supplement brands do you carry?

TRM (the Irish anchor) and Global Medics (Belgian veterinary). For Plusvital and other joint products, see the equine supplements parent collection.

How long until I see results from a mobility supplement?

Most joint supplements need 4-6 weeks of consistent feeding to show effect. Some products (like KuraSyn 360x with hyaluronic acid) show shorter-term comfort benefits sooner. Be patient - and if a supplement isn't working after 2-3 months at the labelled dose, switch ingredient strategy or consult a vet.
