CWD Weighted Fetlock Boots are a leather training aid for the hind legs, designed to improve a horse's jumping technique. The added weight encourages the horse to lift its hind legs higher and tuck more tightly over fences. Made from soft oiled leather with a neoprene inner lining, anatomic cut, and buckle closure. Available in sizes T1 to T4, in dark brown or black.

Are weighted boots legal for competition?

No. Weighted boots are a training aid only and are not permitted in FEI or national federation competitions. They are designed for use during schooling and flatwork sessions at home.

How do I clean CWD weighted fetlock boots?

Wipe down the leather exterior with a damp cloth after each use and condition it periodically to keep it supple. The neoprene inner lining can be wiped clean or rinsed with water. Allow the boots to air dry fully before storing.

Can these boots be used on front legs?

These are designed as hind leg fetlock boots. CWD also makes tendon boots for the front legs if you need front leg protection during training.

What size should I choose?

T1 suits ponies and small horses, T2 and T3 fit most standard horses, and T4 is for larger horses. If in doubt, contact us with your horse's fetlock measurement and we can recommend the right size.

If you don’t love your purchase you can return it to us within 30 days of it arriving with you.

For items shipped to the United States, any tariffs paid are non-refundable.
All items should be returned in the original packaging and condition they were received
Once items are returned you will be entitled to receive a refund/exchange. For item(s) returned after the stated time period we reserve the right to return the item(s) to you. We are not able to refund items that appear to have been worn, marked or are not in original condition.
We cannot refund any items until we receive them. If they have not been received safely back to us or get lost in transit we are not in a position to process the refund. Please ensure they are packaged appropriately so that they do not become damaged in transit.

To request a return, first you need to log into your account, find the relevant order and select the product(s) that you would like to return:

In the "Email" field, enter your email address, and then click "Continue".
In your email account, open the email sent from our store and copy the six-digit verification code included in the email.
Go back to the online store, and then enter a six-digit verification code.
Click the order that you want to submit the return for.
If your order has more than one item, then select the items that you want to return.
Select a return reason and add a note for the store.
Click "Submit request".

If your return request is approved and requires shipping, then you receive an email with shipping instructions. After the product is returned and the condition is checked, you will receive a refund.

Used Saddles Trial

We want to be sure you are happy with your used saddle purchase so there is a 10 day trial period on all used saddles. Please note this starts from the date of purchase.
If you're not entirely happy with the saddle within the 10 days of purchase, follow the process above to submit a return request. We will then send you the instructions for the return.
Once the saddle arrives back to us in its original condition then we will happily issue you a refund.
We understand there can be delays with sending items back so don't worry if we receive the saddle outside of the 10 day trial period we will still issue your refund once we receive the saddle back
If you decide you don't totally love your used saddle after 10 days that's ok because once you let us know within 30 days of purchase we will issue a Credit note!
