CWD care is made for modern French calfskin and grain leathers—simple, effective products that keep tack clean, supple, and show-ready without a greasy residue.
Our tight lineup covers the basics: a gentle cleaner for sweat and dust, a conditioning cream/balm for suppleness, and a light finisher for periodic deep care. Together they protect saddles, bridles, and leathers day to day.
Clean lightly after rides. Condition sparingly when leather feels dry or after a deep clean. Save heavier nourishment for occasional use—especially in cold, dry conditions or after rain.
Brush off grit, wipe with a barely damp cloth, apply a thin coat of cleaner with a soft sponge, let dry, then add a small amount of conditioner and buff to a natural sheen. Always spot-test first.
Avoid soaking, heat, and harsh detergents. Use minimal product on high-stress items (stirrup leathers, girth billets) to preserve hole integrity, and never apply to suede or nubuck.
Light clean after rides; condition weekly in heavy work, otherwise as needed. Do a deeper clean and condition before storage and after wet weather. Store cool, dry, and out of direct sun.
Shop our three CWD care essentials—cleaner, conditioner, and finisher—streamlined for everyday maintenance and periodic deep conditioning.
Which product should I use today?
After routine riding, use the cleaner and a quick buff. Add a small amount of conditioner only if leather feels dry; keep heavier nourishment for occasional use or after rain.
How often do I need to condition?
Weekly in heavy work or dry climates; otherwise as needed. Thin layers are best—over-conditioning can soften stitching and stretch holes.
Are these products safe for calfskin?
Yes—apply sparingly, avoid heavy oil, and spot-test first. Buff to a natural, non-greasy finish.
Can I use them on girths and stirrup leathers?
Yes, but go light to maintain structure and hole strength. Wipe after every ride and condition minimally on weight-bearing parts.
