Fly Masks

Around twenty fly bonnets, most of them Kentucky. The Wellington Soundless is the headline act, offered in Stone & Pearl and Leather versions alongside the standard Soundless bonnet and the Lucky Charms design. CWD, Butet and Dyon contribute one bonnet each for riders matching the rest of their tack. Whatever you call them at your barn, ear bonnets, fly bonnets or fly veils, they ship from Ireland with US duty settled at checkout.

The Wellington Soundless line

Kentucky's Soundless bonnets are built to dampen noise around the ears, which is why they turn up on horses that jump better when the ring goes quiet. The Wellington version adds the dressier finishes: Stone & Pearl for a touch of sparkle, Leather for a plainer, hunter-appropriate look. The standard Soundless and the Lucky Charms cover schooling days.

One each from CWD, Butet and Dyon

If your bridle is CWD or Butet, there is a matching bonnet here from the same maker, genuine stock shipped from the brands' Irish distributor. Dyon's single entry does the same for Dyon tack rooms. These are the bonnets to pick when the whole picture matters, matched leather tones and matched branding from browband to bonnet.

Sizing, shipping and swaps

Measure ear to ear over the poll if you are unsure of size, and send the number to info@equijumpltd.com if you are still torn. Shipping is DHL Express from Ireland, typically 3 to 5 business days to a US address, and a bonnet weighs almost nothing, so it sits in the lowest cost bracket. Duty is collected at checkout under DDP. If the size or color is wrong when it arrives, you have 30 days from delivery to return it in original condition; you cover the return postage on a change of mind.

Frequently Asked Questions

What fly veil brands do you stock?

Kentucky Horsewear dominates the fly veil range with the Wellington line (the brand's signature soundless fly veil) in plain, leather, glitter, pearl, metal chain and Velcro-fastening variants, plus the Soundless Fly Veil and Long Stone & Pearl options for a more decorative finish. We also stock CWD and Butet jumping ear bonnets, the Dyon Fly Hat, the Kentucky Fly Mask for paddock turnout, and Kentucky Lucky Charms for adding decorative weight to the bonnet ear tips.

When should I use a fly veil?

A fly veil keeps insects away from the ears during work in warm weather and dampens noise from the wider environment - useful for show ring focus and for horses sensitive to crowd or arena noise. The Soundless Wellington range muffles sound deliberately for horses that benefit from reduced auditory input. Fly masks for paddock turnout protect the eyes from flies all day.

How do I size a fly veil for my horse?

Most fly veils come in pony, cob and full. Ear length and head shape vary between breeds, so a good fit needs the ears to sit comfortably without pinching at the base. The Wellington range fits most modern sport horses well; for traditional or unusual head shapes, contact us before ordering.

Are fly veils competition-legal?

Most plain fly veils are legal in show jumping, dressage and eventing under FEI and most national rules. Heavy decoration (large stones, crystals, metal chains) is sometimes restricted depending on the discipline and class - always check the rule book before competing. The Wellington Soundless and standard Soundless veils are legal in all FEI disciplines.

Are fly veils machine-washable?

Most Kentucky and Dyon fly veils are machine-washable on a cool cycle with a mild detergent. Decorative finishes (pearls, metal chains, glitter) can usually be washed but follow the label carefully to preserve the decoration. Air-dry; avoid the tumble dryer.

Do you stock noise-reducing fly veils?

Yes - the Kentucky Wellington Soundless and Soundless Fly Veil ranges use sound-dampening ear pieces designed to reduce auditory input for horses that benefit from a quieter ride or show environment. Both sit at the everyday end of the Kentucky range and are legal in FEI competition.
