About the AERO SPRINTER · Theault since 1924
The Mercedes Sprinter AERO, with the 9G-TRONIC automatic.
Sister to the AERO Master on a Sprinter PRO 170HP chassis, 3.5T as standard with a 4.5T option for heavier loads.
The AERO Sprinter is the Mercedes-chassis option in the AERO range, sitting alongside the Renault-Master-based AERO Master. Theault frames the AERO as a single platform with two chassis choices, not a tiered range. The differentiator is the driveline: a Mercedes Sprinter PRO 170HP with the 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic, plus the safety and convenience kit Mercedes bundles into the PRO trim.
The horse area is the standard AERO build. Theault's patented Switch system as standard, 1.20m rear door, anti-slip rubber tack and horse area, 8 interior tie rings, 4 sliding UV windows with protection grills (one on the rear door), 2 ventilation skylights, and an electrical air extractor with integrated blue light. Reversing and horse-area cameras feed a screen in the cab.
The truck is offered in Pro, Select, and Select+ trims. Pro is the standard build covered in the spec sheet. Select and Select+ add cabin, lighting, and comfort upgrades on top, with Select+ adding 'a la carte' options for full personalisation. Available in 3.5T standard and 4.5T for operators who need more payload.

How a Theault build works
From first call to keys in your hand.
Configure to your spec.
Cabin finish, exterior styling, partition layout, tack-room fittings, the options that earn their place. Most clients visit the Thurles shop before signing off.
Built in Ponts, Normandy.
Theault's workshop builds the body around your chosen chassis. Aluminium sandwich walls, profiled luton, insulated ramp. Assembled by hand, signed off by their design office.
Delivered to your yard.
Irish-plated, VRT cleared, handed over with a full walk-around in Thurles. Aftercare and parts run through Equijump thereafter.

Chassis note
The Mercedes Sprinter PRO 170HP with the 9G-TRONIC automatic is the chassis on the Sprinter. The AERO body, ramp, and horse area are common with the Renault-based AERO Master, so the choice between the two is a driveline and dealer-network call. The 9G-TRONIC and Mercedes driver-assistance stack are the real differentiators.
