CWD boots pair refined French design with practical protection—anatomical shells, soft padding and clean closures to shield tendons and fetlocks while keeping the leg cool and the contact feel precise.

Front tendon boots: open-front control

Open-front designs protect against strikes while leaving the front of the cannon lighter for careful jumping. Contoured shells and shock-absorbing liners help the boot sit quietly through turns and combinations.

Hind fetlock boots: tidy power behind

Compact fetlock boots support the hind leg against brushing and overreach without adding bulk. Even pressure and tidy strap geometry keep them centred from warm-up to jump-off.

Materials & fastenings

Hard-wearing outer shells combine with breathable linings (neoprene, gel or faux-shearling by model). Elastic or hook-and-loop straps provide quick, secure adjustment for everyday schooling and show use.

Fit & sizing

Choose size by cannon bone circumference and height. The boot should sit snugly without gaps, with straps fastened firmly but not tight—two fingers should slide under the strap. Front boots sit just below the knee; hind boots cover and cradle the fetlock.

Care & maintenance

Brush off sand, rinse, then air-dry away from heat. Wash removable liners on a gentle cycle if applicable. Check stitching, elastic and closures regularly and replace if worn.

How do I size CWD boots?

CWD boots come in pony, cob, full and oversize. Cob fits most 14.2hh-15.2hh horses; full fits 15.2hh and above. Boots should fit snugly without twisting on the leg, with two fingers' clearance under the strap. If your horse falls between sizes or has unusually fine or heavy bone, contact us before ordering.
How should I care for CWD boots?

After each use, brush off mud and sweat. The leather can be wiped down with a damp cloth and conditioned occasionally with a quality balm. Calfskin linings should be air-dried, not heat-dried, and stored flat to keep their shape. Velcro should be cleared of stray hair to keep its grip.
