About CWD saddles

CWD saddles are built in France for balance, close contact and a secure feel over fences. Refined tree geometry, streamlined blocks and premium leathers help riders stay effective from daily schooling to the championship ring. As Ireland's official CWD distributor, we carry the full saddle range and can guide you through model selection, sizing and configuration.

CWD saddle models

The CWD range covers jumping, hunter and cross-country disciplines. The 2Gs is the flagship jumping saddle - available in semi-deep and flat seat options with the Dynamick carbon-Kevlar tree. The SE02 offers a supportive semi-deep seat for riders who want security over fences, while the SE03 suits those who prefer a flatter, more classic position. The iJump is CWD's top-tier competition saddle, and the Mademoiselle adapts the 2Gs specifically for women's anatomy. A pony saddle and kid saddle round out the range for younger riders.

Every CWD saddle is available in multiple seat sizes, flap lengths and tree configurations. Materials and craftsmanship

CWD offers calfskin for instant grip and a soft hand, or grain leather for added durability. Both options are hand-finished in Nontron, France, and mould in with use for a ride feel that improves over time. Clean with mild saddle soap after riding and condition sparingly - avoid heavy oiling and direct heat.

How do I size or fit a CWD saddle to my horse?

Match seat size to your hip and pelvic support, and flap length and forwardness to your femur and jumping style. Tree width and panel configuration depend on your horse's back and shoulder shape. Send side and back photos of your horse and we'll narrow tree width and panel choice; where a hands-on fitting is needed we work alongside your saddle fitter or arrange one with a CWD-trained fitter in Ireland.

Wipe down after every ride with a damp cloth. Clean weekly with a mild saddle soap and condition lightly with a quality leather balm - the CWD care range is built around the same leathers used in the Nontron workshop and is the safest choice for calfskin. Avoid heavy oiling, direct heat and sunlight, and store on a supportive rack.
What is the CWD Dynamick tree?

The Dynamick is CWD's carbon-Kevlar composite tree, fitted in the 2Gs and Mademoiselle ranges. It flexes more responsively than a traditional wooden or polymer tree, giving a closer feel under the seat without sacrificing structural support. The other CWD models use a more conventional tree pattern.
