Materials & mouthfeel at a glance

TRUST offers three material families to suit different preferences. Inno Sense uses an FDA-approved synthetic for a warm, friendly feel; Leather softens with saliva and moulds to the mouth; Sweet Iron develops a light surface oxidation that tastes sweet and encourages salivation for many horses.

Choose a cheek to match your goals: loose ring for mobility and feel; eggbutt or D-ring for stability at the lips; full cheek for lateral guidance. Leverage options (e.g., Pelham, gag) are available for experienced hands and appropriate classes—use the mildest set-up that achieves steady responses.

Fit & sizing basics

Measure width straight across between the inside edges of the rings/cheeks, allowing a small clearance at the lips. Match thickness and mouthpiece shape to your horse’s mouth conformation, prioritising quiet, even contact over sheer thinness or bulk.

Care & longevity

Rinse after riding and periodically deep-clean joints and moving parts. Wipe synthetic or leather mouthpieces gently (avoid abrasives); allow leather to dry naturally. Sweet Iron will change colour with use—this is expected and can help acceptance for many horses.
